Food was delicious and service was great! Waitress was friendly and helpful!

Great food at great prices! Ichiban had a mix between Korean and Japanese food. They also have a large sushi selection. I can't comment on the sushi, but the main entree selection seemed reasonable. The waitress was a bit hard to understand and she never took my wife's order, thinking I had ordered for her. But once that snafu was worked out, the food came out quick and mine was still hot. Overall all was well. Good place to go when you want a step up from your typical Chinese food restaurant.

Interesting Experience. Cool Japanese atmosphere. Decent food and sushi. Service was not good at all; only 2 waitresses for an entire restaurant and neither one spoke any English. I ordered a noodle soup and ended up with some sort of stir fry dish, my wife ordered some ‘chef’s choice’ sushi dish but they never said what any of it was (mystery fish). Food was good but it would have been nice to be able to communicate what we wanted (or ask what we ended up with). We were never asked how things were and with the language barrier wasn’t really worth bringing up so we just paid the tab... Also had to wait quite a while to order and for refills on drinks, etc... I probably won’t be going back, but my wife might as she liked the sushi...

I absolutely love the food and customer service, awesome area right next to my house. The workers are always super nice. I highly recommend this place.

I tried this restaurant for the first time this evening for dinner with my family. I'll start off by saying the restaurant was very clean and well laid out. The food we ordered was also very good. However, all of this was overshadowed by the service we received. We were the first customers for dinner and our server did not seem pleased that two of our young children were sharing a plate instead of ordering their own. I didn't see this as an issue because they are young and children's plates are not available. After we ordered, we did not receive a salad which was listed as coming with the entree and we did not receive any refills on our water, which also seemed to bother our server since we only ordered one drink besides water. It was disappointing that such great food was ruined by what appeared to be an annoyance caused by our presence. I don't know yet if I'll be back as our dinner felt awkward and uncomfortable.

A hidden gem. Once you find this little shop that is tucked away in a corner you will not be disappointed. You are greeted by friendly staff who seat you and take great care of you on your delicious sushi experience. All the sushi was fresh and wonderful couldn't stop eating. The udon noodles and their other dishes are great as well for you non sushi eaters. Might want to call and reserve a table this place gets busy.

Shushi was very good. Small boat fed 3 people. Service was slow for a lunch crowd on a time limit.

I use any excuse to go here. It's me and my Girlfriends place to go to celebrate and any other excuse we can come up with. Always love the atmosphere and the service is great. I've only had the sushi so I can't vouch for the other food but my girlfriend speaks favorably of it. My favorite is the unagi, it's very good. Overall it's a great place and I enjoy it immensely.

The sushi here is The Best . Been to a lot of places since I moved here to New Mexico this February. And ichiban was my first sushi experience and stole my heart. Been to a bunch of good places similar,nearby. But ichiban has the best sushi pieces best sashimi. Nigiri. Love it . Definitely reccomend this place!

I have been going to this place for 6 years and their Bento boxes are delicious. Worth the money.

The sushi here was excellent, fresh and authentic. The staf was friendly and very efficient. I just wish they had more hot Sake and would be able to make Purple Haze!

We have eaten there for more than 10 years. If you like sushi and lunch or dinner specials, you will like this place. We order teriyaki salmon, chicken, tempura, etc....we try to go regularly

Yummy sushi. I'm no sushi expert so I just go on taste. Monkey balls could of been better. Other than that, good service and food.

Excellent food, fresh and perfect. Surprisingly such a quiet place for such excellent Japanese food. I have eaten it all over the world and this place does it right. The device was fast and efficient. I will be back.

Food was tepid or cold, but could tell it had been well prepared. Our server was overworked but did her best to provide for us. She was very pleasant and courteous, might try again but not a big fan of Japanese cuisine.Maybe if we went later in the day, we were quite early.

Quality atmosphere and quality food.

There were 3 of us. The chicken rice was just average. The teriyaki chicken was tasty. Our 3rd person said that his food was just ok. Not great. The bulgogi was not very flavourful. The sushi was standard. But, he (and I) liked the tempura green chili.The servings were large, and service was good and fast.

I have been going to Ichiban for years and have loved it. Today we went in and saw that they updated the menu and have included some pictures. Also noted that prices went up a bit on the sushi menu but are still very reasonable. We ordered our usual California rolls, asparagus roll, dragon roll. I noticed the rolls were bigger than before, but in the California roll they replaced imitation crab sticks with crab salad. I don't like crab salad in my California roll so that was a little disappointing, but the rest of the food was as tasty as usual.

Quick and kind service awesome menu and great prices!

Uni, in land locked Albuquerque? First time my wife pointed out the sign, I didn't quite believe it. But the next time we were at our favorite Japanese restaurant, the sign was gone. Next time I saw the "fresh Uni" sign, I asked about it. Now, I'm no uni expert, but I do like it, but I have heard that it turns fast and is the worst once it does. So I'm always "cautious" of where I'll eat uni. Typically only on the coast, or high end restaurants. So I was pleasantly surprised when the uni I ordered from Ichiban was actually pretty decent. Not the best, but not bad. Next time my wife and I were there, the sign was gone. It's been awhile since I've seen it, but today it was back! I figured I'd give it a another try, and this time was even better than the first! Buttery and creamy, sweet, with just a hint of the sea on the backend. Anyways if you like sushi and you see the fresh uni sign, it's worth the market price.

Great lunch specials for a very good price. One of our favorite sushi places for lunch during the week. Their house salad with their own dressing is one of the best. Only four stars as we occasionally had slow service and once (over probably 30+ visits) had a piece of bad fish. The rest of the time though everything was great and we have come here many times over the last 10 or 15 years and still do.

Excellent food with fine service and in a pleasant atmosphere. As is increasingly customary, the overall menu and restaurant theme is Japanese -- especially sushi, sashimi, and teriyaki -- but they also offer a variety of Korean specialties. We found the Korean vegetable-beef-over rice hot bowl (Dulsot Bulkogi Bibimpap) especially good, as were the Korean short ribs (Kalbi) and seaweed salad (Wakami).We have no experience with their sushi, etc., but the prices were fair and we enjoyed our meal.

The restaurant was clean and tidy, very cozy and the staff were all very sweet and helpful! We purchased 4 of their sushi rolls for a quick bite and they were fantastic! It was all fresh and flavorful and really hit the spot.Will definately return!

The freshest sushi in Albuquerque. This is a hidden gem and the service here is really great.

I love this restaurant. We always sit at the sushi bar and are entertained by our favorite sushi chef. It's only gotten better over the years as far as I'm concerned.

Love this place! Been going here for years. The bento boxes are the best deal in town! Love how you can choose your main item and two side items, fully customizable for what you want. Always friendly and prompt service. Highly recommended!

Was not greeted at the door even though an employee was standing behind the counter. After standing at the door for a long time another employee seated us without menus. We sat for about another 10 minutes and overheard customers complaining that it took over an hour to get their food. Being that we had not seen our server yet we went to our old faithful crazy fish.

We sat at the sushi bar had the coolest sushi chef! He was so helpful, informative, patient, and just a blast to watch him work! And the price wasn’t bad! I definitely recommend this place!
